Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Formlabs is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help own and evolve its Dashboard platform — the nervous system connecting printers, customers, data and teams — from the ground up. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role: shaping architecture, shipping meaningful features and defining engineering best practices as the platform scales. The stack centers on Python and Django on the backend with React on the frontend, and the role includes owning projects end to end from technical design through rollout and iteration.
Responsibilities
- ▹Be a foundational engineer for the Dashboard and its backend infrastructure, influencing long-term technical direction
- ▹Design, build and scale reliable, high-performance web applications with Python and Django at the core
- ▹Develop user-facing frontend features in React, collaborating closely with Marketing and Design for polished, intuitive experiences
- ▹Own projects end to end, from technical design and implementation to rollout and iteration
- ▹Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards and best practices across the team
- ▹Balance speed and quality with a pragmatic mindset, optimizing for long-term maintainability
Requirements
- ▹Strong track record of building, shipping and maintaining production web applications
- ▹Deep experience with Python/Django and modern frontend frameworks such as React; familiarity with NodeJS, Go, Ruby or other server-side languages is also welcome
- ▹Primary-owner mentality: pride in your systems, attention to detail, and seeing projects through to completion
- ▹High bar for code quality — clean, documented, testable and readable code
- ▹Comfort collaborating across disciplines, especially with Design, Marketing and Engineering partners
- ▹Ability to thrive outside your comfort zone, quickly learning new tools and technologies
Nice to have
- ▹Familiarity with infrastructure and orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Go, Kafka, GCP, AWS
- ▹Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- ▹Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies
- ▹Experience in a fast-growing startup environment
