Junior IT Specialist – Security

Responsibilities

• ▹Support the development of the ISMS from concept to implementation
• ▹Contribute to evaluating the IT security risk of software, hardware and systems, especially in operational technology (OT)
• ▹Participate in IT security projects and initiatives
• ▹Conduct training and awareness programs for employees
• ▹Support the selection, evaluation and monitoring of external service providers and vendors

Requirements

• ▹Completed degree in computer science, information security or comparable training
• ▹Initial hands-on experience (ideally 1-2 years) in IT security or related areas
• ▹Basic knowledge of EDR, NDR, firewall and network security, system hardening, virus scanning, monitoring/alerting
• ▹Interest in and basic understanding of information security standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with or interest in industrial environments (OT, IoT, SCADA)
• ▹Entry-level information security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker)
• ▹Multilingualism (German/English)
