Manager, Enterprise Technology

Sonstige • Vor Ort • Vollzeit • Vereinigte Staaten Austin, USA
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Manager, Enterprise Technology - Enterprise Applications to help build, implement, and scale the technology platforms that support Saronic's rapidly growing business. This is a hands-on technology leadership role responsible for implementing and managing a broad portfolio of enterprise SaaS and self-hosted applications. The ideal candidate has experience taking enterprise platforms from requirements and evaluation through implementation, integration, adoption, support, and ongoing lifecycle management. Experience implementing and scaling ITSM platforms and processes is important, but this role extends well beyond ITSM. This person will work across enterprise applications supporting engineering, manufacturing, operations, workplace, and corporate functions. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, fast, adaptable, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and requirements evolve quickly. The right person can move between strategy, technical problem-solving, vendor management, implementation, and day-to-day execution without losing momentum. Responsibilities Lead the implementation, administration, and lifecycle management of enterprise SaaS and self-hosted applications. Own assigned enterprise platforms from evaluation and implementation through integration, adoption, support, upgrades, optimization, and eventual retirement. Lead implementation and continuous improvement of ITSM capabilities, including service catalog, incident, request, problem, change, knowledge, asset/configuration management, SLAs, workflows, and automation. Lead and support enterprise application implementations across engineering, manufacturing, operations, workplace, finance, people, and other business functions. Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical system designs, configurations, workflows, and implementation plans. Evaluate new technologies and lead technical assessments, proofs of concept, build-vs-buy analysis, and vendor selection. Manage both cloud/SaaS and self-hosted applications, working with IT, Cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendors on hosting, environments, upgrades, access, security, availability, and support. Partner with technical teams on APIs, integrations, SSO, identity/access management, data flows, middleware, and workflow automation. Establish scalable processes around software intake, ownership, licensing, renewals, utilization, upgrades, support, and retirement. Manage software vendors, implementation partners, consultants, licensing, contracts, and technical escalations. Establish platform roadmaps, release/change processes, documentation, governance, monitoring, and operational standards. Identify opportunities to consolidate applications, automate manual processes, improve employee experience, and reduce unnecessary software spend. Manage and develop technical resources responsible for enterprise platforms and application delivery. Take ownership of issues and projects and drive them to resolution quickly, even when requirements are incomplete or priorities change. Qualifications 8+ years of experience across enterprise applications, enterprise technology, business systems, ITSM, or related areas. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing multiple enterprise applications rather than specializing in a single platform. Experience taking enterprise software through the full lifecycle: requirements, evaluation, architecture, implementation, integration, rollout, support, upgrades, and optimization. Experience implementing an ITSM platform such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar, including designing workflows and service-management processes. Experience managing enterprise SaaS applications across multiple business functions. Experience with self-hosted/on-premise enterprise applications is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, middleware, SSO, identity/access management, databases, environments, and enterprise application architecture. Experience working with IT and Cybersecurity teams on infrastructure, security, access, hosting, and compliance requirements. Experience managing software vendors, implementation partners, consultants, licensing, and renewals. Strong project execution skills with the ability to manage several implementations and operational priorities simultaneously. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and priorities. Comfortable getting hands-on with systems and technical problems rather than relying entirely on vendors or engineering resources. Experience leading and developing technical teams. Keys to Success The right person for this role is a builder and operator, not simply a people or process manager. You have implemented enterprise applications, worked through difficult integrations, configured systems, managed vendors, solved production issues, supported upgrades, and built processes that allow platforms to scale. You are equally comfortable discussing requirements with business leaders, troubleshooting a technical issue with an engineer, challenging a vendor, reviewing an implementation plan, or getting into the application yourself to understand how something works. You move fast, make practical decisions with the information available, and adapt as the business changes. You do not wait for perfect requirements before making progress. Most importantly, you are technology-agnostic and adaptable. Whether the platform is an ITSM solution, SaaS business application, PLM system, engineering tool, project controls platform, or self-hosted application, you can quickly understand the technology, determine what the business needs, and lead the team toward a scalable solution. Additional Experience The following experience is beneficial but not required for this role: Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or other complex operational environments. Exposure to PLM, project controls, engineering, or manufacturing applications. Experience with platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Primavera P6, SSI ShipConstructor, or comparable systems. Experience managing a mix of SaaS, cloud-hosted, and self-hosted enterprise applications.
