Data Governance Specialist – Data Quality & Metadata Management

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain and further develop the company-wide data catalog, ensuring transparent, traceable metadata for master and transactional data
• ▹Structure documentation and quality assurance of metadata to create a reliable basis for data-driven decisions
• ▹Analyze data requirements in close collaboration with various business units
• ▹Document compliance with data governance guidelines and support their further development
• ▹Identify data quality issues, analyze root causes, and initiate suitable optimization measures at data, process, and technology level
• ▹Independently coordinate and track these measures

Requirements

• ▹Degree in business informatics, computer science, statistics, business administration, data management, or a comparable qualification
• ▹Initial to several years of experience in data management, data governance, or as a data steward
• ▹Good understanding of data models, data flows, and basic data architectures
• ▹Structured way of working with a strong affinity for data quality and process optimization
• ▹Very good German and good English skills, written and spoken
