Ruby on Rails Developer – Remote

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications, including new features and optimizing existing codebases
• ▹Manage and optimize the Postgres database: data modeling, performance monitoring and tuning, data migrations
• ▹Contribute to DevOps tasks: deploying application releases, developing and maintaining microservices in Kubernetes
• ▹Develop and integrate interfaces to external POS and inventory management systems

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• ▹Solid experience developing with Ruby on Rails
• ▹Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL databases
• ▹Solid knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD)
• ▹Independent, analytical, structured, and careful working style
• ▹Very good German (min. C1) and English (min. B2)

Nice to have

• ▹Development experience in an AWS environment (e.g. RDS)
