A senior data engineering role on the Marketing Customer Profile team under the Growth Alliance at HelloTech in Warsaw. Responsibilities

  • ▹Work end-to-end on the architecture, design, development, deployment and operation of data pipelines using DevOps practices and pair programming
  • ▹Contribute as a solution-oriented member of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams with Product Owners, back-end and front-end engineers, product analysts and BI teams
  • ▹Act as a technical expert on HelloFresh's core product and architecture, supporting colleagues
  • ▹Work with technologies such as AWS (EMR, Glue, S3), Kafka, PySpark, Kubernetes, Airflow, Prefect, Tecton, Databricks and in-house data pipeline tools

Requirements

  • ▹Strong background in data engineering with a focus on clean, maintainable Python code
  • ▹Proficiency with cloud platforms and data technologies such as PySpark and Kubernetes
  • ▹Skill in designing scalable data models and working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and object stores (e.g. AWS S3)
  • ▹Basic understanding of backend development
  • ▹Track record of building and optimizing efficient, reliable data pipelines
  • ▹Commitment to data quality, monitoring and high testing standards
  • ▹Comfort in agile environments with fast iterations, lean principles and continuous delivery
  • ▹Solid hands-on experience with AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as thought partners, with habits around verifying, testing and setting boundaries on AI-generated work
