Responsibilities

• ▹Help shape the IT strategy and drive standardization of the process and system landscape in the international production network of the Linear Motion Technology business unit
• ▹Transform the existing MES landscape into a global standard based on SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM)
• ▹Transfer existing functionality to the new SAP DM target architecture, bringing in plant requirements and building a global template for shopfloor and production processes
• ▹Analyze existing solutions, check how they map to SAP DM standard and develop concepts for extensions or complementary solutions where needed
• ▹Support daily operation of the MES landscape through incident, problem and change management, and accompany system introductions and commissioning at the plants
• ▹Work closely with key users and departments and build their know-how through training

Requirements

• ▹Completed degree in (business) informatics, automation engineering, production or manufacturing engineering, or a comparable qualification
• ▹Strong teamwork and active willingness to share knowledge
• ▹Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working
• ▹High degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
• ▹Strong communication skills in an interdisciplinary environment
• ▹At least 3-5 years of experience in the MES area, ideally focused on SAP Digital Manufacturing
• ▹Experience with existing MES systems and their further development or transformation into new target architectures
• ▹Good understanding of production processes on the shop floor
• ▹Experience evaluating and implementing functional requirements within standard solutions (e.g. SAP DM)
• ▹Basic understanding of interfaces and IT/OT integration
• ▹Very good German and English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of SAP ERP (e.g. PP, WM/EWM) and its integration with MES systems
• ▹Knowledge of IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers, IP-based communication)
