Fullstack Software Engineer (x/f/m) - Spain
Alan is hiring a fullstack software engineer for its rapidly growing Spain team, which builds health tech solutions across two product lines: health insurance and flexible healthy benefits. The role offers plenty of greenfield projects in a startup-like environment, with the opportunity to shape product decisions hands-on. The engineering stack is Python/Flask, React, React Native, and PostgreSQL in a monorepo with daily deployments.
Responsibilities
- ▹Build provider-facing platforms that streamline healthcare operations for medical professionals across Spain
- ▹Ship AI-powered tools that help members navigate healthcare, from booking appointments to finding specialists
- ▹Create delightful mobile and web experiences that put members in control of their health journey
- ▹Build global-first infrastructure designed for reusability across multiple markets
- ▹Own critical product decisions as a domain expert, from system design to roadmap prioritization
- ▹Tackle high-impact, high-risk projects involving many engineers
- ▹Mentor other engineers and lead crews
- ▹Contribute to hiring future coworkers and improving the technical assessment process
Requirements
- ▹3+ years of experience
- ▹Well-versed in object-oriented programming (Python, Java, C#) and enthusiastic about modern web technologies
- ▹Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (prior experience with these two languages not required)
- ▹Passionate about building products
- ▹Self-starting and entrepreneurial
- ▹Fluent English
