Compiler Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, test, debug and maintain compiler software components
• ▹Implement new compiler features and resolve complex software defects
• ▹Analyse real-world applications and industry benchmarks to identify optimization opportunities
• ▹Improve the performance and efficiency of compiler-generated code for Intel CPU architectures
• ▹Conduct functional, performance and stress testing
• ▹Collaborate with global engineering, validation and performance teams
• ▹Work closely with hardware architects and software teams to enable new processor capabilities
• ▹Contribute to open-source compiler technologies and industry standards initiatives

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics or a related technical discipline
• ▹4+ years of professional experience developing software in C/C++
• ▹Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures
• ▹Experience optimizing software for CPU performance
• ▹Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills
• ▹Ability to work independently and proactively drive technical solutions

Nice to have

• ▹Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• ▹Experience with vectorization technologies and parallel programming models such as OpenMP
• ▹Experience with compiler development, particularly LLVM-based frameworks
• ▹Experience with assemblers, linkers and low-level system software
• ▹Strong understanding of CPU architecture and compiler optimization techniques
• ▹Experience with code generation and performance tuning
• ▹Familiarity with performance analysis and profiling tools such as perf

• ▹Hybrid work model: time can be split between the Intel site and off-site
• ▹Annual salary range of PLN 124,520 to 360,720; further compensation components are confirmed with the offer
