Network Engineer - Wide Area (AIRBUS)

Responsibilities

• ▹hold full technical operational responsibility for Germany's network infrastructure, ensuring stable, high-quality operation based on ITIL
• ▹manage the IT service providers responsible for the technical implementation of the network infrastructure according to contractually defined KPIs and SLAs
• ▹collaborate with other IT departments and teams on projects and the introduction of new solutions requiring network infrastructure
• ▹plan and control network infrastructure costs, including continuous improvement
• ▹provide technical support for root-cause analyses, particularly during incidents
• ▹manage the highest-level administrative access and permissions within the area of responsibility

Requirements

• ▹completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering or comparable field
• ▹at least 3 years of professional experience in IT / information systems
• ▹experience operating IT infrastructure solutions or leading IT projects in network infrastructure
• ▹in-depth knowledge of WAN, VPN and encryption services (Client VPN and Genua Site-2-Site solutions) as well as LAN, WAN, WiFi, DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP address management) technologies
• ▹knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly the Service Operations phase
• ▹negotiation-level German and English
