Responsibilities

• ▹Provide expert advisory services to clients on advanced analytics and data engineering best practices
• ▹Lead teams and projects from requirements gathering to solution design and implementation
• ▹Capture client requirements and lead the development of solution architectures for current and future business needs
• ▹Design and develop bespoke Data Platform, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics solutions using the latest cloud technologies
• ▹Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise data engineering solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
• ▹Build and oversee dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI
• ▹Guide teams in data modelling and transformation, including the design of ETL/ELT pipelines
• ▹Mentor and guide junior team members
• ▹Contribute to the development of the team in Portugal and keep close ties to the European team

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of experience designing and delivering cloud-based Data Engineering, Analytics and AI solutions, ideally in a consulting or systems integration environment
• ▹Extensive client-facing experience at a consultancy or systems integrator, with a track record of leading teams or projects
• ▹Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• ▹Familiarity with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory and data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks
• ▹Expertise in data visualisation and analytics using Power BI, QlikView or Tableau
• ▹Strong experience in data modelling and transformation, including ETL/ELT design and data warehousing
• ▹Experience or awareness of Big Data, Data Science and/or AI technologies, including integrating Machine Learning models and/or Generative AI components
• ▹Experience leading, mentoring and developing Data & Analytics teams
• ▹Demonstrated leadership in Data Engineering and AI, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams
