Engineering Lead - Business Operations Tooling

Responsibilities

• ▹Define the technical approach for building tools, balancing short-term wins against long-term initiatives
• ▹Take an active part in the team's product definition and roadmap
• ▹Lead and mentor the team of engineers, ensuring code quality and driving projects to completion
• ▹Work with design, product and analytics to build and integrate the tools
• ▹Deliver the roadmap's technical deliverables (e.g. proactive alerting, automated data population, assignment tooling)
• ▹Hire and manage the engineers the team needs

Requirements

• ▹Experience leading and mentoring software engineers
• ▹Strong communication style and experience leading one or multiple teams and working across functions
• ▹Backend engineering and system architecture experience with a proven record of delivering scalable solutions, ideally in a fast-paced environment or for internal tooling
• ▹Experience designing complex systems
• ▹Experience with database handling
• ▹Experience with API design
• ▹Experience with asynchronous messaging
• ▹Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin)
• ▹Financial background (not a must, but a plus)
