Responsibilities

• ▹Unify and scale local, remote and ephemeral development environments across a polyglot codebase
• ▹Make it fast and reliable for engineers and AI agents to provision environments, build, test and debug
• ▹Find the biggest bottleneck in the engineering workflow and automate it, including sandboxes and tooling for AI agents
• ▹Own build systems, CI/CD, developer environments and internal tooling
• ▹Set technical direction and standards, mentor senior and staff engineers

Requirements

• ▹Staff-level engineering experience and impact
• ▹Full-stack, infra-leaning skills, strong on the backend and systems side
• ▹Experience moving a team's development workflow into the cloud (VMs, remote environments, preview branches, sandboxes)
• ▹Track record of shipping developer tooling or platform infrastructure that measurably improved velocity
• ▹Hands-on experience building agentic or AI-powered engineering workflows
• ▹Strong judgment, clear writing, ability to drive alignment without formal authority

Nice to have

• ▹Monorepo tooling or large-scale platform migrations
• ▹Agent harness infrastructure: eval frameworks, orchestration or sandboxing for LLMs
