Senior Full-stack Engineer (Next.js / TypeScript)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the platform end to end: frontend, backend, and support and extension of the infrastructure
• ▹Build new products: a universal login system, a unified Identity layer, and a subscription and privilege management portal with Stripe integration and custom APIs
• ▹Evolve the content architecture: migrate from standard article display (~100k pages) to complex multi-type feeds (video, galleries, mixed streams)
• ▹Run 2+ projects in parallel (2-6 week sprints) and flexibly fit in urgent requests from marketing or editorial
• ▹Debug and resolve complex asynchronous conflicts (race conditions) when initializing ad scripts and third-party SDKs (for example IAS)
• ▹AdTech work and rendering optimization
• ▹Work with the release flow preview branch → PR → review → merge → release, with frequent small deploys and no Friday releases
• ▹Work autonomously: task estimation, planning directly with the CTO, self-testing and documenting code (the project runs without dedicated QA and PM)

Requirements

• ▹Fluent spoken and written English, to discuss technical solutions and architecture directly with the CTO without intermediaries
• ▹3+ years of experience with Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript
• ▹Backend expertise: building APIs, working with databases, integrating third-party services, and independently designing and implementing server-side logic
• ▹Identity and Auth experience: authorization systems, merging disparate user databases into a single Identity layer, and implementing Universal Login
• ▹Hands-on experience with complex asynchronous scenarios (race conditions) and integrating ad / third-party SDKs
• ▹Experience with UI libraries (Material UI, Tailwind / CSS Modules) and design systems in Storybook
• ▹Confident with Jest and React Testing Library, deep understanding of accessibility (a11y) standards and automated testing of them
• ▹Developer-level Figma experience: reading specs precisely, exporting and optimizing web assets
• ▹Readiness to overlap with US Pacific time: about 4 hours a day, part of the work in the evening (roughly until 22:00 Kyiv time)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with the Cloudflare ecosystem (Workers / Edge runtime, Hono, D1, KV)
• ▹Deep understanding of the publisher-side AdTech domain (Google Ad Manager, Integral Ad Science), viewability and tracking metrics
• ▹Experience integrating payment systems and billing (especially Stripe)
