Software Engineer II - Java/Python - Backend Platform Team (x/f/m)
Doctolib is looking for a mid-level Java Software Engineer with Python experience to join ATP, the platform team that manages the backend foundations for its distributed services. ATP builds the common building blocks of the system with a 'Platform as a Product' mindset, focusing on distributed services (chassis, archetypes, business-agnostic services, cross-cutting concerns) with strong emphasis on quality, scalability and usability. Within a team of 8 engineers, you will design and deliver essential components used by all Doctolib product teams. The position is permanent, full-time, based in Levallois-Perret with a hybrid setup of 3 office days per week.
Responsibilities
- ▹Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define and implement features that improve the Doctolib platform
- ▹Take a leading role within the team and contribute to a technical vision ensuring performance, security, usability and high scalability of the platform
- ▹Help continuously improve how the team implements, tests and monitors high-quality features
- ▹Improve the performance of key features implemented in Java, sometimes completely challenging the status quo
- ▹Take leadership on delivering roadmap items together with the team
- ▹Contribute to establishing a technical vision and co-drive the creation of the roadmap for the next quarters
Requirements
- ▹4+ years of experience, preferably in a technically challenging environment
- ▹Primarily a backend engineer with expert knowledge of Java/Spring Boot/Python
- ▹Solid understanding of web technologies and the software development life cycle
- ▹A 'user first' mindset focused on bringing value to users through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
- ▹Fluent English
