Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - FEDRAMP | NIGHTS | Remote

In Splunk's (Cisco) FedRAMP Cloud Ops team you support the operation and documentation of the large-scale Splunk Cloud offering. The role is remote on a night shift and requires U.S. Person status.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Test features in the Splunk Cloud offering
  • ▹Develop and update documentation around configuration and infrastructure changes
  • ▹Execute configuration and infrastructure changes on customer cloud environments
  • ▹Lead customer related incidents in troubleshooting the SplunkCloud platform
  • ▹Develop and update automation tools

Requirements

  • ▹3+ years of Linux experience
  • ▹2+ years of scripting in Python, Golang or Bash
  • ▹3+ years of experience working on distributed systems
  • ▹1+ year of experience participating in incident management
  • ▹U.S. Person status: the work is on US Government classified environments, and some work can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil
  • ▹Shift: 4x10 (Wed-Sat) midnight to 10am EST, with nights, weekends and on-call during the shift

Nice to have

  • ▹Willingness to acquire the SplunkCloud Architect Certification and either the Splunk administration or Splunk Power User certificate within the first 2 years
  • ▹Experience with Puppet
  • ▹Experience with Jenkins
  • ▹Experience with AWS (preferred) or GCP
  • ▹Scripting with PowerShell
  • ▹Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • ▹AWS Solutions Architect certificate and/or experience
