Engineering Manager - Data Platform

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own team health, individual growth and delivery
• ▹Align the platform roadmap with the broader engineering and data strategy
• ▹Stay hands-on, contributing to the team's day-to-day work
• ▹Partner closely with engineering and product leaders to align platform direction with their needs
• ▹Manage relationships with third-party suppliers supporting the data platform

Requirements

• ▹A few years of experience as an Engineering Manager, able to turn ambiguous, high-level plans into actionable work
• ▹Proven experience building and maintaining data platforms
• ▹Willingness to work hands-on as an individual contributor when needed
• ▹Independent mindset and strong communication skills to engage with engineers and cross-domain and external stakeholders
• ▹Experience with BigQuery, GCS, Airflow (Cloud Composer), Pub/Sub and Snowplow

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with data modeling (dbt)
