Senior Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Take full accountability for end-to-end delivery of major product updates, managing the release lifecycle
• ▹Use AI tools (e.g. Claude) to complement your workflow while retaining ownership of the logic, security and architectural implications of the code
• ▹Collaborate with product teams to integrate and improve AI capabilities within the Archy platform
• ▹Collaborate closely with the Frontend team to ensure seamless integration between the Java Spring Boot backend and React/TypeScript frontend
• ▹Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
• ▹Identify and implement opportunities to improve team efficiency
• ▹Estimate and plan development efforts for projects

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• ▹6+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with emphasis on writing clean, quality code
• ▹Strong English communication skills, written and verbal, at B2 level or greater
• ▹Experience with Java Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• ▹Hands-on experience with Snowflake or enterprise cloud data warehouses for managing and querying large-scale datasets
• ▹Experience owning the successful release of high-traffic features or major platform migrations
• ▹A deep understanding of how to use AI tools as a co-pilot without sacrificing code quality
• ▹A deep focus on testing, stability and performance
• ▹A customer-centric mindset
