Databricks Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and Delta Lake
• ▹Develop and maintain robust, scalable big-data solutions with a focus on performance and reliability
• ▹Support automation and orchestration of data workflows using Jenkins
• ▹Apply DevOps/MLOps principles for smooth deployment and production operations
• ▹Contribute to production optimization, including cost efficiency (FinOps)
• ▹Work with Databricks Asset Bundles for standardized, repeatable deployments
• ▹Collaborate closely with stakeholders, proactively clarifying requirements and constructively challenging unclear assignments
• ▹Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing data pipelines

Requirements

• ▹Hands-on experience with Databricks
• ▹Strong practical knowledge of PySpark and Delta Lake
• ▹Good understanding of big-data processing, data pipelines, and production data engineering
• ▹Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• ▹Knowledge of DevOps/MLOps approaches in a data engineering context
• ▹Ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly in a complex environment
• ▹Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in banking or financial services
• ▹Knowledge of FinOps or cloud cost optimization
• ▹Databricks certification (Associate or Professional)
