Dataiku is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer with a Data Science background. You will run your own opportunities together with the opportunity team while acting as a sparring partner, supporting the team with in-depth data science challenges and conversations on their opportunities. The role covers the full pre-sales cycle from discovery through demos and proofs-of-concept to technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Qualify deals in collaboration with the Account Executive, Business Development Representative, and sales management
  • ▹Conduct discovery meetings to learn the customer's business requirements and technical environment
  • ▹Articulate usage scenarios that illustrate the business value desired by the customer
  • ▹Use Dataiku to demonstrate the business value described in the usage scenarios
  • ▹Design projects and execute Dataiku demonstrations applying data science techniques
  • ▹Plan and execute proofs-of-concept (POC) and evaluations, co-developing data science projects with prospective customers
  • ▹Lead the combined team to prove that Dataiku delivers the needed value better than competitors
  • ▹Answer questions and provide technical guidance to the customer's technical team
  • ▹Assist in pipeline building activities, including trade shows, industry conferences, and marketing/partner campaigns

Requirements

  • ▹5+ years of experience with predictive modelling and an understanding of relational data structures and SQL
  • ▹Experience working with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • ▹Experience in Analytics/AI or other enterprise software
  • ▹Experience in technical pre-sales or other client-facing roles (e.g., consulting)
  • ▹Comfortable talking to all levels of customer teams, from individual contributors to C-level executives, and/or a passion for public speaking

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience in the data science, analytics, or big data markets
  • ▹Programming in Python/R
