Unreal FX Artist (Expression of Interest)

Please note this is a speculative role. If we move to hire, the position will be hybrid and require days in our London studio as well as potential international travel. We cannot provide visas or UK relocation for this position, as it will be a contract role. About the role This is an existing role within our team. We are looking for a Mid-Senior FX Artist to join our Immersive team in London. You will work on exciting immersive projects, bridging the gap between our VFX and real-time workflows. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating the ability to create FX for both pre-rendered and performant real-time projects. You'll craft CG renditions of naturalistic physical or magical phenomena, such as fire, water, clouds, smoke, physical destruction, and particulates. What you'll do Work alongside a team of FX TDs and Technical Artists to supply the FX elements for the project. Create particle, rigid-body, fluid, cloth, fur, and/or hair simulations or animations. Develop lighting and materials that work with the FX to produce the final rendered image or runtime content. Use a variety of commercial and proprietary FX tools, including Houdini and Maya, for execution as real-time elements in Unreal Engine. Work in partnership with other departments to ensure that shots are delivered to the highest possible standard. Design and create images, elements, effects, pipelines, tools, and techniques.
