Software Tester – Embedded Systems

Responsibilities

• ▹Perform software-component and full software tests for safety-critical control-unit software
• ▹Support specification and implementation of test procedures based on defined requirements
• ▹Log and document test results
• ▹Track defects and follow up on identified deviations
• ▹Document test status and progress
• ▹Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of existing test processes
• ▹Work closely with development and project teams to ensure high software quality

Requirements

• ▹Completed technician training or degree, ideally in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field
• ▹Experience with embedded systems and hardware-related software development
• ▹Knowledge of various test methods and experience with test tools and test automation
• ▹ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or higher
• ▹Good knowledge of networks, protocols and bus systems (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, MVB or PN)
• ▹Programming skills in Python and C++
• ▹Very good written and spoken German and English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with software development processes per DIN EN 50128 or DIN EN 50657
• ▹Knowledge of SIBAS
