Mobile App Developer – iOS, Android & Cross-Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android
• ▹Build native applications using Swift/Xcode, Kotlin/Java, the iOS SDK and the Android SDK
• ▹Develop cross-platform applications using React Native and Flutter
• ▹Build new product features and improve existing functionality; write clean, scalable, maintainable, production-ready code and follow mobile development best practices and architecture standards
• ▹Translate Figma and product designs into polished mobile interfaces for smartphones, tablets, and different screen sizes, consistent with the product design system
• ▹Collaborate with designers to improve usability and interaction quality; implement intuitive navigation and interaction patterns
• ▹Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, authentication systems, and third-party services
• ▹Handle networking, data synchronization, and application state efficiently; troubleshoot integration issues between mobile and backend; optimize API communication for speed and reliability; handle failures and unexpected responses
• ▹Monitor and improve application speed, responsiveness, memory usage, battery efficiency, and stability
• ▹Identify and resolve crashes, bugs, and performance bottlenecks; investigate production issues quickly; ensure consistent performance across devices and OS versions
• ▹Test features across multiple devices and OS versions, resolve defects before release, support regression testing and production validation, and identify device-specific and OS-specific issues
• ▹Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to maintain high release quality
• ▹Prepare applications for production releases, manage or support Apple App Store and Google Play releases, maintain versioning and release workflows, prepare production builds, monitor applications after deployment, and investigate post-release issues

Requirements

• ▹3+ years of mobile application development experience
• ▹Strong experience with iOS and/or Android development
• ▹Hands-on knowledge of Swift, Kotlin/Java, the iOS SDK and the Android SDK
• ▹Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native and Flutter
• ▹Strong understanding of REST APIs, mobile networking, authentication, and application lifecycle
• ▹Familiarity with architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVP
• ▹Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices
• ▹Experience translating product designs into functional mobile interfaces
• ▹Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• ▹Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• ▹Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, backend, and QA teams
• ▹Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

• ▹Experience publishing production applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• ▹Experience with Firebase, push notifications, mobile analytics, authentication systems
• ▹Experience building offline-first functionality, real-time features, and mobile animations
• ▹Startup or product-company experience
• ▹Experience improving performance for applications with growing user bases
