Data Engineer – Remote in Germany

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the data warehouse (Timescale), Synera's single source of truth for data
• ▹Extract data from GTM and business systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, product, finance) into the warehouse, structured and annotated for querying
• ▹Build and own ETL pipelines (Airflow/Timescale), data models, and sync jobs
• ▹Build the reporting and forecasting layer (Power BI, Salesforce reports, forecast models) that leadership runs on
• ▹Make the data agent-ready: warehouse models, APIs, MCP connectors, permissions and governance

Requirements

• ▹SQL is second nature; experience building ETL/data pipelines (Airflow or similar) and data models
• ▹Experience building the data layer behind LLM applications: retrieval, embeddings, vector search, context design, MCP and similar tool interfaces
• ▹Experience integrating multiple systems: APIs, webhooks, auth models, rate limits, unannounced schema changes
• ▹Ability to debug discrepancies across systems, with privacy-conscious data thinking
• ▹Daily use of LLMs as a working tool; automator by instinct (scripts, APIs, workflow tools, AI agents)
• ▹Confident written and spoken English communication with non-technical colleagues, sales, and executives

• ▹German language skills are a plus
