Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build end-to-end features for products where an agent and humans work together
• ▹Present AI-generated output, uncertainty and citations in a way people trust
• ▹Work with political researchers, data scientists and engineers to turn ambiguous problems into simple, usable software
• ▹Use AI tools and coding agents to move fast, knowing when interface polish matters
• ▹Talk to users and internal stakeholders to find what is confusing, slow or untrustworthy in existing tools, and fix it
• ▹Learn the world of political strategy to build systems that encode the user's goals and thought processes

Requirements

• ▹6+ years as a product engineer, full-stack engineer or designer-engineer hybrid, with shipped products to show
• ▹Strong product and UX instincts: critique a flow, sketch an alternative, explain the tradeoff plainly
• ▹Comfortable using coding agents without compromising quality
• ▹Hands-on experience building products on LLMs: chat interfaces, agents, retrieval-augmented tools
• ▹Understanding of using human annotations efficiently to encode expertise into AI systems
• ▹Equally comfortable in Figma and in a codebase

Nice to have

• ▹Eye for visual and interaction design, familiarity with Figma
• ▹Political or civic-tech experience
