Pleo is looking for a Senior TechOps Engineer to join its small internal IT team that aims to change how Pleo and the wider industry think about IT. As a senior member you are expected to deliver transformational work from conception to delivery with a high level of autonomy, spanning identity scaling with Okta, device management and BYOD foundations, office networking, and regular front-line support. The team values automation-first thinking, transparency and first-principles problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Scale user identity as Pleo grows: automate org structure changes and user movements across systems using Okta, Okta Workflows and HiBob
  • ▹Build the foundations of asset management and a comprehensive BYOD approach backed by device trust rules
  • ▹Act as technical partner to the Workspace team: own office networks and in-office technical systems (Juniper Mist) and their configuration across Pleo's global offices
  • ▹Contribute regularly to front-line, interrupt-driven support tasks to stay close to colleagues' problems and the outcomes of your work

Requirements

  • ▹Senior-level ability to deliver transformational work from conception to delivery without daily input, knowing when to involve colleagues and stakeholders
  • ▹Confidence with technical subjects and considering them from new angles, including openness to being challenged
  • ▹Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with a high level of autonomy
  • ▹Automation-first mindset with an ambitious approach to reducing manual workload
  • ▹First-principles thinking: breaking down problems and challenging presumptions before building a clear path
  • ▹Ability to work iteratively while maintaining focus on long-term strategic goals and best practices

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience with a similar stack: ~95% MacBook fleet managed by Iru, ~5% Windows on Intune, Okta for IAM, Google Workspace, Okta Workflows and open APIs, Juniper Mist networking, Slack, Notion, Miro
