Responsibilities

• ▹Develop, implement and maintain automated tests for functionality, regression, user interfaces, APIs, integrations, performance, security and load
• ▹Select suitable test automation frameworks, tools and patterns together with the development team and ensure their sustainable use
• ▹Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve the stability, maintainability and informative value of test results
• ▹Analyze test results, defects, flakiness, performance problems and quality risks and support structured root cause analysis
• ▹Further develop test strategies and quality approaches at team and project level and ensure risk-based test coverage for features and interfaces
• ▹Bring quality, testability and automation aspects into architecture and design decisions, with a view to maintainability, observability, resilience, performance and security
• ▹Advise software engineering, testing, product management and related functions and support quality-relevant incidents
• ▹Link test results, defects, pipeline data, product feedback and metrics to support quality decisions and prioritize improvements
• ▹Share knowledge through pairing, reviews and mentoring and bring new methods and automation approaches to the team

Requirements

• ▹Degree in computer science or software engineering, comparable technical training or equivalent practical qualification
• ▹Several years of practical experience in software testing, quality assurance or software development
• ▹Several years of practical experience in test automation and its integration into CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Practical experience automating user interfaces, APIs, integrations and regression tests with relevant frameworks and programming languages
• ▹Confident use of test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Postman, Bruno, RestAssured or comparable technologies
• ▹Confident programming or scripting with .NET, TypeScript or comparable languages
• ▹Practical experience with TeamCity, GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD systems
• ▹Confident communication of complex technical and quality-related topics in German and English

Nice to have

• ▹ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification or comparable qualification
• ▹Experience with BDD, Gherkin or Specification by Example, and with performance, security, load or end-to-end tests
• ▹Knowledge of requirements in healthcare, regulated environments or business-critical software
