License Manager (Engineering Applications)

thyssenkrupp is looking for a License Manager to handle licensing for engineering applications such as CATIA, SolidWorks and Ansys, optimizing the license pool, liaising with vendors and producing usage reports.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Manage the licenses for more than 30 engineering applications, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Ansys, Vector or Altair
  • ▹Optimize the license pools and ensure compliance with maintenance and subscription cycles
  • ▹Stay in regular contact with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for contract and licensing matters
  • ▹Advise and support key users on licensing questions, understand their needs and translate them into planning processes
  • ▹Provide relevant data for budget planning
  • ▹Monitor the license inventory using the OpenLM monitoring tool and create accurate, actionable reports
  • ▹Support operational license management tasks

Requirements

  • ▹Expertise in complex license models of engineering applications, translating contractual requirements into license pools
  • ▹Analytical thinking and an independent working style
  • ▹Understanding of users' workflows and advising on license inventory optimization
  • ▹Ability to create reports on license usage and optimization potential
  • ▹Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • ▹Good spoken and written English
