Senior Backend Platform Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Support and maintain business-critical backend services built with Node.js, NestJS and Redis
• ▹Investigate complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive issues through resolution
• ▹Analyze logs, traces, monitoring data and application behavior to diagnose system anomalies
• ▹Troubleshoot distributed systems, microservices, integrations and high-volume data flows
• ▹Support and optimize Redis-based workloads, caching strategies and platform performance
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and operational excellence
• ▹Participate in on-call rotations and communicate incident impact and resolution plans to stakeholders
• ▹Contribute to knowledge sharing, observability improvements and platform stability initiatives

Requirements

• ▹Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and Redis
• ▹Experience designing, operating and troubleshooting microservice-based architectures
• ▹Proven experience supporting production systems and managing live incidents
• ▹Strong debugging, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• ▹Experience with REST API integrations and distributed systems
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
• ▹Knowledge of monitoring, logging and observability practices
• ▹Ability to work independently in complex environments with limited documentation
• ▹Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders
