Senior Engineer – Proxmox (Remote)

Responsibilities

• ▹Build, develop and operate the future virtualization platform based on Proxmox VE
• ▹Plan and carry out migration projects as part of the strategic replacement of existing VMware environments
• ▹Integrate and develop storage, network and SDN components for a high-performance, highly available infrastructure
• ▹Create operating, architecture and migration concepts and support technology and architecture decisions
• ▹Automate and optimise operational processes and ensure stable platform operation

Requirements

• ▹Completed IT vocational training, a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• ▹Several years of experience operating and developing virtualization platforms, and hands-on experience with Proxmox VE
• ▹Very good Linux knowledge and solid know-how in enterprise storage, network architectures and SDN technologies
• ▹Experience in infrastructure transformation and migration projects and a strong understanding of architecture
• ▹High sense of ownership and willingness to do on-call duty and planned 24/7 maintenance work
• ▹Good German and English
