Platform Engineer, Golang & IaC (Remote, European Union)

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and own the platform that powers all of Spacelift, from CI/CD to observability to incident response
• ▹Improve the code delivery pipeline: reduce friction, tighten feedback loops, eliminate flakiness
• ▹Strengthen SLOs and observability, giving every team better signals
• ▹Improve the on-call experience: alert quality, response speed, postmortem hygiene
• ▹Optimise platform cost and scaling behaviour across workloads and regions
• ▹Own internal developer experience, from local dev to debugging production
• ▹Take part in the on-call rotation (you build it, you run it)

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with hands-on experience owning production systems
• ▹Experience working with Go
• ▹Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks or developer-facing tooling
• ▹On-call experience, including fixing root causes and improving the process
• ▹Experience with an IaC tool: OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation
• ▹Excellent communication skills
• ▹Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
• ▹Strong product mindset and big-picture thinking

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Claude Code
• ▹Experience with Datadog
• ▹PostgreSQL/Aurora optimisation experience
