Responsibilities

• ▹Define the right technology approach for business challenges: evaluate options, challenge assumptions, give pragmatic recommendations
• ▹Own the IT roadmap and set priorities by business value, risk and cost
• ▹Maintain a coherent enterprise architecture to avoid architectural debt
• ▹Oversee the entire application portfolio: ERP (SAP S/4HANA), e-commerce (Shopify, Tradebyte), PIM, DAM, integration middleware and future additions (PDM/PLM, CRM)
• ▹Short term: stabilize SAP S/4HANA, select and implement a new PDM/PLM system, expand the e-commerce infrastructure (B2B and D2C)
• ▹Ensure IT change projects are delivered on time and within budget
• ▹Own data, analytics and AI (BI, data engineering, master data coordination) and guide the analytics team on new use cases, tool decisions and skills development
• ▹Develop an AI vision and roadmap, and identify, prioritize and implement simple, high-impact AI use cases with a pragmatic, ROI-oriented approach
• ▹Create frameworks for responsible and secure AI use, including data governance, privacy and ethical use, while building internal AI competence and choosing the right AI tools and partners
• ▹Manage external technology vendors and service providers in a best-of-breed model: supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance management
• ▹Manage the entire IT budget, ensuring disciplined spending and clear ROI, optimizing OPEX and CAPEX and managing contract renewals and supplier terms
• ▹Lead a geographically distributed team across several locations and time zones

Requirements

• ▹10+ years of professional experience in technical roles, of which at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership position
• ▹Leading distributed, international teams across locations and time zones (e.g. Romania and India), including offshore resources and delivery partners
• ▹Proven ability to define the right technology approach for business problems: question, advise and steer, not just execute
• ▹Strong supplier and partner management in a multi-vendor application landscape
• ▹Experience managing enterprise application portfolios (ERP, e-commerce, product management systems)
• ▹Budget responsibility in the single-digit million (EUR) range
• ▹Willingness to be present regularly at the technology hub in Romania
