Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, test and improve Akuity's SaaS platform
• ▹Develop in Go on the server side
• ▹Collaborate with designers and engineers on features that remove the headaches of infrastructure operations
• ▹Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across complex, high-impact projects
• ▹Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across the organization
• ▹Keep the platform scalable and built with developer empathy as it grows

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of development experience
• ▹4+ years developing scalable web applications using Golang
• ▹Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators at scale in AWS, GCP, Azure or on-prem
• ▹Deep knowledge of systems design, API design and infrastructure
• ▹Experience leading the architecture and technical direction of complex, distributed systems
• ▹Experience with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL)
• ▹Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• ▹Ability to influence technical decisions across teams
• ▹A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• ▹Live within US time zones (Pacific through Eastern), including Canada and other regions

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Argo CD, Kargo or GitOps-based delivery workflows
• ▹Familiarity with multi-region, multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments
• ▹Experience with compliance-adjacent infrastructure (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 28000:2022, HIPAA or PCI DSS)
• ▹Background operating infrastructure for other platform or developer tooling companies
