Senior Migration Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Analyze and migrate legacy Java/Spring Boot systems to Rust-based services
• ▹Extract and reconstruct implicit business logic from legacy systems
• ▹Break down monolithic or grown systems into clearly separated, modern components
• ▹Develop and implement parity strategies to ensure functional equivalence (legacy vs. new)
• ▹Ensure API compatibility, schema evolution and data consistency during migration
• ▹Build runbooks, cutover plans and parity checklists for controlled migrations

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience developing and maintaining Java/Spring Boot systems
• ▹Very good Rust skills, or strong willingness to work productively with Rust
• ▹Proven experience migrating legacy architectures to modern stacks
• ▹Ability to extract and reconstruct implicit business logic from existing code
• ▹Experience defining and implementing parity and validation strategies
• ▹Confident with API compatibility, data migration and schema evolution
• ▹Experience debugging complex, business-critical systems

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with billing, reporting or transaction-critical systems
