MongoDB Atlas is the premier multi-cloud database-as-a-service, and the worldwide Cloud Operations Engineering team ensures the operational success of every Atlas customer. As a Cloud Operations Engineer you handle day-to-day duties such as monitoring alert dashboards, reviewing system logs, accessing customer instances and performing server administration, while being an early member of a 24/7/365 global team. The role is based out of MongoDB's Dublin office under an in-office working model.
Responsibilities
- ▹Coordinate and collaborate with a global team to ensure Atlas uptime guarantees
- ▹Monitor and detect emerging customer-facing incidents and assist in proactive resolution
- ▹Diagnose live incidents, differentiate platform versus usage issues and drive resolution
- ▹Automate routine monitoring and troubleshooting tasks
- ▹Perform root cause analysis and identify process breakdowns after incident recovery
- ▹Participate in a weekly on-call rotation handling short-term customer incidents
Requirements
- ▹At least 2 years experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE or Cloud Operations engineer
- ▹Expertise with Linux system administration, configuration and troubleshooting
- ▹Critical thinking to quickly detect, resolve or escalate broad-scope issues
- ▹Willingness to work from the Dublin office
- ▹Willingness to volunteer for coverage outside normal hours for certain events
