Founding Engineer

About the Role This is a first engineering hire opportunity at an early-stage B2B SaaS company building an agentic integration platform for enterprise customers. You'll own core systems end-to-end and set the engineering patterns that every future teammate will build on — working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to ship production-ready software from day one. What You'll Do Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime from end to end. Define the engineering standards and patterns that the growing team will inherit. Partner directly with the founders, contributing technical opinion and leadership — not just code. Ship to production continuously, delivering reliable and observable systems to paying enterprise customers. What We're Looking For 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced startup environments. Demonstrated ability to build something 0-to-1, whether at an early-stage company or through a serious side project. Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend development. Proficiency in Node.js for backend development. Hands-on experience integrating or building workflows around large language models (LLMs) and agent-based platforms. Experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL for data storage and database design. Track record of owning end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with measurable customer impact. Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and tracing in production systems. Experience building reliable retry and queuing patterns in distributed systems. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually . Visa sponsorship is available. Location On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States .
