Software Architect – Telco Protocols and Data Processing

Responsibilities

• ▹Define the strategic architecture and technical roadmap for protocol decoding, data correlation and enrichment platforms
• ▹Establish architectural principles, standards and best practices across related products
• ▹Drive technology selection and major design decisions, balancing scalability, maintainability, performance and cost
• ▹Collaborate with product management, engineering and domain experts
• ▹Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership on complex architectural challenges
• ▹Evolve approaches for supporting diagnostic and measurement data from Diameter, GTPv1/v2, 5G SBI, IMS/VoLTE/VoNR signaling, CUPS and future 3GPP protocols
• ▹Ensure decoded measurement data is accurately translated into common data models used across products and analytics platforms
• ▹Maintain backward compatibility, scalability and long-term maintainability of decoder solutions
• ▹Define the data models, dimensions and contextual information needed to turn raw measurements into curated datasets, and establish rules for enrichment and correlation

Requirements

• ▹Strong understanding of mobile telecommunications
• ▹Strong understanding of 4G and 5G core network architectures
• ▹Expertise in signaling and transport protocols including Diameter, GTP, HTTP/2-based SBI interfaces and related 3GPP standards
• ▹Experience with IMS, VoLTE and VoNR ecosystems
• ▹Understanding of network slicing, CUPS and cloud-native core architectures
• ▹Strong software engineering background, including distributed and data-intensive systems
• ▹Deep understanding of relevant 3GPP standards and their evolution across 4G and 5G
• ▹C++ experience

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics platforms
• ▹Knowledge of AI/ML data preparation and feature engineering
• ▹Understanding of data lineage, governance and data quality frameworks
• ▹Familiarity with cloud-native and distributed system architectures
• ▹Knowledge of statistical analysis and performance modeling techniques
