Product Engineer (Mid), Java / Kotlin

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Ship features on Gluesync with the product team
• ▹Own small-to-medium work end to end: design, code, tests, review
• ▹Work with SQL and NoSQL sources (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM i / DB2, MongoDB, Kafka and similar)
• ▹Keep quality high: automated tests, no silent regressions
• ▹Take part in customer technical support on the CET night shift: troubleshoot production issues, help customers and feed learnings back into the product

Requirements

• ▹At least 4 years building backend services in Java
• ▹At least 1-2 years of Kotlin in production
• ▹REST APIs, SQL and at least one NoSQL store
• ▹Write tests and use Git like a teammate
• ▹Ability to reliably work CET nights (22:00-06:00) from wherever you are

Nice to have

• ▹Ktor, Koin, Gradle
• ▹Docker / Kubernetes
• ▹Kafka or other event streaming
• ▹Prior CDC or database replication experience
