Senior Backend Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain backend features and APIs for the core platform
• ▹Improve database performance, reliability and real-time data processing
• ▹Debug, profile and optimise code to keep latency low and systems stable
• ▹Collaborate with AI, frontend and product teams to integrate new capabilities
• ▹Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of the backend stack

Requirements

• ▹5-7 years of experience building production-grade backends
• ▹Python (a must)
• ▹Solid SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL or similar)
• ▹Experience with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• ▹Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a problem
• ▹Startup mindset: quick to ship, focused on quality, allergic to bureaucracy

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in Go, C++ or Java
• ▹Linux debugging and performance tuning
• ▹Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
• ▹Experience with data pipelines or analytical databases
• ▹Interest in edge/cloud hybrid architectures
