Senior Solutions Engineer
Mixpanel is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer for its Customer Success & Solutions Engineering team, which acts as analytics consultants embedded within enterprise customer teams. The SE serves as the technical counterpart to Sales, leading technical qualification of customer use cases, delivering customized demos, and scoping and executing proof-of-concept projects — consulting on data ingestion methods, architecture, success criteria and rollout strategies. The role requires articulating technical benefits to developers and product managers while communicating business value to executives. Hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- ▹Serve as a trusted technical advisor for prospects, providing strategic consultation on data architecture, governance, instrumentation and business outcomes
- ▹Communicate and consult effectively at all levels of the customer's organization to earn trust and influence buying decisions
- ▹Bridge the technical-business gap: define proof-of-concept success with senior stakeholders and ensure successful execution
- ▹Impart best practices throughout proof-of-concept projects using Mixpanel expertise and consultative skills
- ▹Partner with Account Executives to drive revenue growth as the key technical contact for customers
- ▹Partner with post-sales teams so pre-sales value propositions translate into tangible post-sales results
- ▹Develop relationships and uncover the needs of key technical stakeholders within the assigned book of business
- ▹Act as the 'Voice of the Prospect', collecting feedback from potential customers and sharing it with the Product team
Requirements
- ▹Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels — from APIs with developers to organizational efficiency with CIOs
- ▹Demonstrated track record of qualifying and selling technical solutions to executive stakeholders
- ▹6+ years of experience in a SaaS Sales Engineering or related role
- ▹Experience in data querying, modeling and transformation using tools such as SQL, dbt, Python, Business Intelligence platforms or Product Analytics tools
- ▹Familiarity with databases and cloud data warehouses (e.g. Google Cloud, Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
- ▹Successful record in sales engineering, customer success, client-facing professional services, consulting or technical project management
- ▹Excellent written, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- ▹Strong process and project delivery discipline
- ▹Ability to travel
- ▹Fluency in multiple languages; German preferred
