IT System Engineer Linux & AWS Cloud (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Administer, operate and continuously optimize a complex Linux server landscape
• ▹Plan, implement and operate cloud infrastructure in AWS
• ▹Migrate existing on-prem systems to the AWS cloud
• ▹Further develop the container environment (transforming from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes)
• ▹Automate and provision infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible and Packer
• ▹Support and optimize common applications such as web servers, databases and container workloads
• ▹Analyze incidents, troubleshoot, and optimize performance and cost in the cloud
• ▹Provide technical advice to the team and work closely with the product owner
• ▹Independently manage internal IT projects

Requirements

• ▹Completed degree in computer science, training as an IT specialist in system integration, or comparable qualification
• ▹Several years of experience in Linux system administration (e.g. RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu)
• ▹Very good knowledge of operating web servers, databases and distributed systems
• ▹Hands-on experience with AWS services
• ▹Understanding of cloud architectures, networking, security fundamentals and monitoring
• ▹Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation (Ansible)
• ▹Know-how in containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
• ▹Structured, solution-oriented way of working, enjoyment of teamwork
• ▹Very good German and good English skills
