VP of Engineering

Responsibilities

• ▹Evolve how the flat engineering organization scales with AI agents
• ▹Set the forward-looking technical vision that supports the business
• ▹Own allocation of people and agents across competing initiatives
• ▹Own infrastructure enabling AI-native engineering (developer experience, AI and data platforms)
• ▹Own hiring, performance management, compensation and talent development
• ▹Ensure systems meet reliability, observability and security standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, NYC Cybersecurity)
• ▹Represent Counterpart's technology capabilities to partners and investors

Requirements

• ▹12+ years of engineering leadership through multiple company-stage transitions
• ▹Experience engaging with the board, investors and executive leadership
• ▹Strong point of view on AI-native engineering
• ▹Deep technical fluency in system architecture, AI/data infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• ▹Customer empathy and product sense
