Join Mozilla's team that builds the applications Firefox developers use every day to develop, build, test, and deliver Mozilla's core products. As a senior engineer you act as a force-multiplier, improving development workflows and CI to reduce testing and debugging time. The role combines Python service-building, front-end work, and data-driven workflow analysis within a geographically distributed team.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Improve Firefox development workflows to reduce time spent testing and debugging test failures
  • ▹Increase integration and automation of development workflows
  • ▹Mentor team members and collaborate by providing code review and technical direction
  • ▹Work with a geographically distributed development team
  • ▹Analyze data, build dashboards, and identify trends in Firefox development workflows

Requirements

  • ▹Proven Python skills, including building services
  • ▹Front-end development experience with JavaScript proficiency
  • ▹Experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django), cloud services (GCP, AWS) and REST
  • ▹Solid understanding of databases and SQL
  • ▹Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and test harnesses
  • ▹Comfortable working cross-platform on at least 2 of Windows, Linux, Mac, Android

Nice to have

  • ▹Deep understanding of version control systems
  • ▹Experience with containerization and continuous delivery/deployment, particularly Docker
  • ▹Experience with CI of large-scale projects
  • ▹Comfortable with data analysis
