Golang Software Engineer, Commercial Systems
Canonical is hiring a Golang Software Engineer at any seniority level for its Commercial Systems unit, which comprises six engineering teams building internal products central to Canonical's business. The candidate may join the Billing, Contracts or Livepatch team, working with popular software systems, integration technologies and open-source solutions. The role covers the full lifecycle: design, code review, implementation, deployment and operation of Golang services. It is remote within the EMEA region.

Requirements
- ▹Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- ▹Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling alternative narrative
- ▹Track record of going above and beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
- ▹Experience with software development in Golang
- ▹Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- ▹Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
- ▹Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
Nice to have
- ▹Performance engineering and security experience
- ▹Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations or other business roles
