Canonical's Talent Science team uses a data-centric, scientifically rigorous approach to select the best colleagues, weaving behavioural science through the selection process. As a Director of Talent Analytics you lead a team to deliver strategic objectives, connecting performance outcomes back to selection methods and designing professional hiring frameworks. The role reports directly to the Global Head of Talent Science and is fully remote, available globally.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Lead a team to deliver against strategic objectives, focusing on product design and roadmap implementation
  • ▹Connect performance outcomes back to selection methods to identify exceptional talent
  • ▹Design professional processes and frameworks for efficient delivery
  • ▹Coach and mentor team members to grow analytical capabilities and thought leadership
  • ▹Represent the team in the absence of the Head as a credible adviser and leader
  • ▹Work closely with company leaders to understand and communicate the talent vision

Requirements

  • ▹7+ years experience in a Talent function with deep appreciation of recruitment, selection and analytics
  • ▹Proven analytical ability to dissect data using SQL (or Python, R, SPSS with appetite to learn SQL)
  • ▹Exposure to BI tools (Superset is the platform)
  • ▹Exceptional project management and coaching to lead roadmap execution
  • ▹Exceptional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills for a senior audience
  • ▹International travel 2-4 times a year for company events up to two weeks

Nice to have

  • ▹Advanced psychometric skills
  • ▹Deep understanding of human behaviour, particularly intrinsic motivation
  • ▹Experience using Superset and/or Greenhouse
