A Director-level role in Morgan Stanley's Expense Strategy & Analytics team, helping the firm make disciplined decisions on non-compensation expenses. The role partners with senior leaders across Finance and business to evaluate tradeoffs, improve transparency into spend drivers, and identify cost-optimization opportunities, connecting day-to-day decisions to multi-year financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Provide in-depth financial analysis on the global non-compensation expense portfolio and present savings recommendations to leadership
  • ▹Work across Finance, business and functional partners to improve transparency into spend drivers
  • ▹Translate expense actions into clear multi-year projections
  • ▹Partner with senior leaders and governance forums to frame key expense decisions and evaluate tradeoffs
  • ▹Enhance expense forecasting and scenario modeling by improving data, analytics and tools

Requirements

  • ▹At least 5 years of relevant experience in Expense Management, FP&A, Accounting or related areas, ideally in financial services
  • ▹Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and drive coordinated decisions
  • ▹Excellent communication and influence skills for executive audiences
  • ▹Strong expense analytics and decision-support skills
  • ▹Strong commercial judgment to assess vendor spend and support business cases
