Senior AI Security Engineer

The Senior AI Security Engineer is a technical leader and engineering manager within Citi CISO's AI security incubation function. The role combines hands-on engineering — architecting agentic AI systems, writing and reviewing code — with people management, owning the Incubator Environment that helps cybersecurity teams prototype and validate AI-powered solutions. The successful candidate drives the shift from prompt-based workflows to fully autonomous agentic AI for cybersecurity tasks.
Responsibilities
- ▹Own and evolve the Incubator Environment for prototyping AI use cases
- ▹Design, build and deploy agentic AI systems for cybersecurity tasks (threat analysis, triage, response orchestration)
- ▹Architect multi-agent orchestration systems and robust agent infrastructure
- ▹Build and maintain RAG pipelines and knowledge retrieval systems
- ▹Manage and develop the engineering team
- ▹Drive adoption of AI development tools (Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
Requirements
- ▹Hands-on engineering leadership combining coding and people management
- ▹Experience architecting agentic / multi-agent AI systems
- ▹Knowledge of agent infrastructure: tool-use frameworks, memory/context management, guardrails, human-in-the-loop
- ▹Experience building RAG pipelines and knowledge retrieval systems
- ▹Cybersecurity domain understanding
Nice to have
- ▹Experience with AI development tools such as Devin, GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
- ▹Experience taking PoCs through to production readiness
