Photoroom, a Y Combinator-backed, Series B leading visual solution for e-commerce serving 300+ million users and processing over 5 billion images annually, is hiring a Head of Computer Vision reporting to the CTO. The leader will own the long-term ML strategy (including training foundational models from scratch), lead and scale a team of ~10 ML engineers and researchers, and act as the bridge between ML and the Product, Sales and Engineering teams. The role is remote within selected European countries with monthly, fully reimbursed Paris office visits.

Requirements
- ▹5+ years leading ML/AI teams at product companies with strategic decision-making experience
- ▹Proven hiring and mentorship track record with teams of 8+ people
- ▹Deep Computer Vision and Diffusion/GenAI expertise
- ▹Hands-on experience training large foundational models (billion+ parameters, end-to-end)
- ▹Technically credible enough to spot code issues, debug training failures, analyze performance bottlenecks and provide opinionated technical guidance to ICs
- ▹Ability to work closely and cross-functionally with Product, Sales and Engineering, avoiding unnecessary process and ensuring clear accountability
