Senior Solutions Engineer - Brazil (US based)

Responsibilities

• ▹As a critical member of the sales team, driving technical discussions and implementations to generate new business, expand existing business, and keep customers happy.
• ▹In business generation and expansion: qualifying prospect/customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demos, solution identification and design, and collaborating on PoCs.
• ▹For existing customers: as part of a dedicated account team, advising on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.
• ▹20-30% travel to meet prospects/customers, attend conferences and industry events, and collaborate with teammates.

Requirements

• ▹Passionate about technology and able to explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
• ▹Naturally curious and an avid, hands-on builder.
• ▹Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go) and a desire to expand those skills.
• ▹Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL/TLS.
• ▹Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts.
• ▹12+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
• ▹Technical curiosity and passion, staying up to date with Cloudflare's products and industry trends.
• ▹Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth personally and within the team.
• ▹Project management, relationship building, and EQ.
• ▹Experience building or meaningfully contributing to web applications.
• ▹Understanding the role of a firewall and the difference between L3, L4, and L7 firewalls.
• ▹Comfortable with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and analyzing HTTP requests/responses in a browser's web inspector.
• ▹Able to describe the differences between CSRF, XSS, and SQLi, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.
• ▹Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
• ▹Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (not a strict requirement).
• ▹Able to translate technical concepts for a wide variety of audiences, from systems engineers to C-levels.
• ▹Constant desire to learn and teach through internal/external blog posts, team demos, and product training.
• ▹A knack for identifying creative solutions to customer problems.
• ▹Understanding of how to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.

Nice to have

• ▹Graduate-level degrees in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields (not a strict requirement).
• ▹Certifications.
