Senior Data Scientist, Ads

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and apply DS solutions to improve advertiser experience and Reddit's ad platform
• ▹Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• ▹Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and translate them into DS solutions
• ▹Develop ML models and DS methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition
• ▹Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
• ▹Stay current on advancements in machine learning and data science
• ▹Mentor and guide junior data scientists

Requirements

• ▹Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field: statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or operations research
• ▹5+ years of industry experience (MS) or 4+ years (PhD) in applied science or data science roles
• ▹Platform experience and deep understanding of the ads ecosystem
• ▹Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, causal inference, and experimental design
• ▹Experience with large-scale data processing (Spark, Hadoop, Hive; BigQuery a plus)
• ▹Proficiency in Python or R, experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• ▹Experience with SQL and relational databases
• ▹Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with online advertising and ad tech
• ▹Experience with causal inference and A/B testing
• ▹Contributions to open-source projects or publications at relevant conferences/journals
